Downtown Project Wins
Statewide AwardBrazos Valley Decorative Center won the Best Renovation/Rehabilitation Project at the 2009 Texas Downtown Association Presidents Awards on Thursday evening.The Best Renovation/Rehabilitation award recognizes excellence in rehabilitation of the interior or exterior of an existing building. Ray Jezisek is the owner of Brazos Valley Decorative Center.
Another downtown building, Old Bryan Marketplace, was a finalist for a 2009 TDA award.
The award winners were announced at a gala in Tyler.
This is the third consecutive win at the Texas Downtown Association for the City of Bryan. The City was honored in 2008 for downtown infrastructure improvements and in 2007 for the Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival. Since 1998, the awards program has recognized more than 150 projects, events and people that make a difference in Texas downtowns. - Contact
